Golf at Royal Liverpool Golf Club with the legend that is Kevin Keegan
This is your chance to play one of the Premier Golf Courses in the United Kingdom with the inspirational Kevin Keegan, enjoying some fabulous Golf as well as some wonderful stories in the company of a living legend.
Kevin Keegan, OBE (born 14 February 1951) needs no introduction. He played for several clubs including Liverpool and Hamburger SV. He went on to manage Newcastle United, Fulham and Manchester City, winning promotion as champions in his first full season at all three clubs. He also managed the England national team as well as scoring 21 goals in total for his country in 63 games in his playing days.
Kevin supports The National Golf Club Challenge every year; everyone lucky enough to play with Kevin have said that he is great company and one of the nicest people anybody could wish to meet.
Without doubt, Royal Liverpool is a tough links. Only six holes are in the dunes – otherwise there is little protection from the ever changing wind. There is nothing artificial about the course. It represents a traditional, genuine test of golf and it was heart-warming to see that Hoylake examined the very best players in 2006. They came, they saw and Tiger conquered!
In 2014, the Open Championship returned to Royal Liverpool Golf Club when Rory McIlroy claimed his first Open Championship and third major title with a two shot victory over Sergio Garcia and Rickie Fowler.
Round will be in the Spring/Summer of 2018 Subject to Kevin Keegan's availability.
